About Clydesdale Stallions:
The Clydesdale is a Scottish breed of draft horse known for its size, strength, and distinctive high-stepping gait. Clydesdale stallions are massive, typically standing 16-18 hands high and weighing 1,800-2,000 pounds. The breed originated in Lanarkshire, Scotland (formerly called Clydesdale) and was developed for heavy farm and industrial work. Bay with white markings is one of the most common and classic Clydesdale color patterns—the white blaze on the face and four white 'socks' extending up the legs are hallmarks of the breed. Clydesdales are famous for their abundant feathering (long, silky hair on the lower legs). Despite their massive size, they're known for their gentle, willing temperament and are often called 'gentle giants.' Clydesdales became world-famous as the Budweiser Clydesdales and are used today for showing, driving, and promotional purposes!
