About Red Angus Bulls:
Red Angus cattle are a color variant of the Angus breed, developed as a separate breed in the United States in the 1950s. Red Angus bulls are large, powerful animals weighing 1,800-2,500 pounds, characterized by their solid red coat and naturally polled (hornless) head. The red color is actually a recessive gene in Angus cattle—when two black Angus carrying the red gene are bred, they can produce red calves. Red Angus bulls offer the same superior beef quality as Black Angus but with an important advantage: their lighter-colored coat reflects more sunlight, making them better suited for hot climates and reducing heat stress. They're known for excellent maternal traits, docile temperament, and efficient feed conversion. Red Angus produce high-quality, well-marbled beef that's tender and flavorful. The breed has grown rapidly in popularity, especially in warmer regions, and is now the second most popular beef breed in the United States. Red Angus bulls are prized for passing on superior genetics for growth, carcass quality, and adaptability!
