About Siberian Huskies:
The Siberian Husky is a medium-sized working dog breed that originated with the Chukchi people of northeastern Siberia over 3,000 years ago. These dogs were bred to pull sleds over long distances in harsh Arctic conditions while surviving on minimal food. Siberian Huskies typically weigh 35-60 pounds and are characterized by their thick double coat, erect triangular ears, distinctive facial masks, and often striking blue or multi-colored eyes. They're known for their incredible endurance, friendly temperament, and pack mentality. Huskies are highly energetic, intelligent, and independent dogs that need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. They're famous for their vocalizations—they rarely bark but often 'talk' and howl! Siberian Huskies are friendly with people and other dogs, making them poor guard dogs but excellent family companions for active households. They became famous during the 1925 serum run to Nome, Alaska, when sled dog teams saved the town from a diphtheria outbreak!
