About Sarcosuchus:
Sarcosuchus, nicknamed "SuperCroc," was a giant prehistoric crocodile that lived during the Early Cretaceous Period, about 112 million years ago in what is now Africa. This massive predator measured up to 40 feet long and weighed approximately 8 tons—twice the size of modern saltwater crocodiles! Sarcosuchus had a long, narrow snout filled with over 100 teeth designed for catching fish and dinosaurs that came to drink at the water's edge. The distinctive bulbous tip of its snout, called a bulla, may have been used for vocalization or enhanced sense of smell.
