The Tailypo Ghost Story: Paul Galdone

The ghost stories from the Deep South have a way of getting under your skin, and the Tailypo is the tickliest of them all. Paul Galdone's retelling of this classic American campfire tale follows a scruffy little dog who bites off more than a mysterious creature's tail, and then finds out what comes looking for it in the night. Galdone's expressive illustrations and the build of the old refrain make it perfect for spooky storytime, just scary enough for brave young readers. A classic gift for campout nights and October bedtime reading.
